Wright Returns As Knights Earn First Win Of The Season | December 6th, 2011

St Paul, MN- ACCA All-American Dominique Wright returned from a hamstring injury to help the Crossroads College men’s basketball team capture their first win of the season tonight at Association Free Lutheran Bible School (AFLBS).The Knights defeated the Conquerors 67-64 and move to 1-1 in the NIAC. “It was really great to have Dominique back tonight,” said second year head coach James Bolin. “He brings so much leadership and experience to the team. He knows we are counting on him to be the facilitator and that’s exactly what we got from him tonight.” Wright dished out 8 assists and scored 12 points. “It’s going to be a challenge this year after loosing so many great players last year,” Wright said. “But it motivates me to get better. It felt good to get back out there tonight and get this monkey off our back.”
Tarvaris Jenkins, a freshman from Chicago, IL led the Knights in scoring with 24 points. Matt Porras, also a freshman, came up big scoring 14 points including four 3 pointers. Andrew Brue, yet another freshman, scored the go-ahead layup with 16 seconds to go. After a tough non-conference schedule, Crossroads finish the semester with a 1-6 record. “We are still optimistic because we know that the toughest part of our schedule is over. We also expect a few new players to come in and contribute next semester.” said head coach James Bolin.
The Knights will host Emmaus Bible College on Friday, January 6th to open up the new semester.
"Knights in Shining Armor" | October 14th, 2011

On Friday, October 14th several members of the Crossroads Men's basketball team helped host a FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Middle School basketball clinic at Autumn Ridge Church's new multiple purpose facility - "The Center." The clinic was organized and directed by the Knight's head coach, James Bolin. Knights players led over 30 kids from the Rochester area in drills, contests, scrimmaging. "It's a great opportunity to bring exposure to Crossroads College athletics and for our players to reach out to the community," noted Bolin.
